In my work I focus on the creation of visual systems for editorial content.

Enhancing the experience of users and facilitating their interaction with various types of content is at the center of my design practice.

For the past eleven years I have designed a wide range of publications and content platforms, both online and offline. I work for clients, including several large German publishing houses, and have been active as an entrepreneur as well, being the Co-founder and Creative Director of the (now defunct) social reading platform dotdotdot.

Products I have built generate around 40 million page impressions each month and won several design awards.

As a member of the Swiss design studio onlab I am the Art Director for On Display, a design magazine accompanying the exhibition series “Design Display” at the VW-Autostadt in Wolfsburg, Germany. Furthermore, I serve as VP Design and UX at the startup Steady HQ, a recurring crowdfunding platform for publishers, funded by the Google News Initiative.

I am one of the managing directors of the Berlin-based think tank Zentrale Intelligenz Agentur—next to Philipp Albers, Martin Baaske and Holm Friebe. Our clients include ARTE, Daimler and public institutions such as the Berlin Senate.

I am currently teaching digital product design at the HTW Berlin. Find some of the projects and bachelor theses I mentored here.

My work has been exhibited at various art institutions and museums, for example at the Westfälischer Kunstverein in Münster and at La Panacee in Montpellier, France.
