I am a graphic designer from Berlin. I have spent the last 11 years building visual systems for people to interact with content – for different large german publishing houses or as co-founder and creative director of the social reading platform dotdotdot.
Next to Philipp Albers, Martin Baaske and Holm Friebe I am one of the managing directors of Berlin based think tank and design agency Zentrale Intelligenz Agentur – working for a wide range of clients including ARTE, Daimler or the Berliner Senat.
I am interested in how designers can help to tell great stories and deliver rich content on mobile devices and I teach that at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin within the department of Communication Design.
Currently I am VP Design and UX at Steady HQ, a startup for recurring crowdfunding for publishers, funded by the Google News Initiative.
I gave talks and workshops at some various universities and conferences like Re:publica 2015. Sometimes I like to write about digital products and user experience and I did that for some magazines and blogs including Fontblog or Page.
I don’t believe in design awards, but have creative directed digital products having around 35 million page impressions each month.
I exhibited in various german “Kunstvereine” and museums like Westfälisches Landesmuseum in Münster or La Panacee in Montpellier, France.
Having three daughters keeps me focused and sometimes I enjoy to paint walls in and around Berlin.
